Solon Pointe in Solon, OH, is hiring a Full-Time Dietary Cook / Prep Cook to join our team. You will prepare and cook meals for residents, assist with prep and plating, and ensure timely service in a welcoming long-term care setting.

The role emphasizes following dietary guidelines, maintaining safety and sanitation, and supporting a collaborative dietary team to deliver nutritious meals daily.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking or food preparation experience preferred.
• Long-term care, healthcare, restaurant, or institutional cooking experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Dependable, positive, and team-oriented.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Must be able to work scheduled weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and resident dietary needs.
• Assist with food preparation, portioning, and meal service.
• Follow recipes, production sheets, and special diet requirements.
• Ensure meals are prepared and served safely and on time.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and infection-control standards.
• Properly store, label, and rotate food and supplies.
• Assist with kitchen cleanup and other dietary department duties as needed.
• Work closely with the Dietary Manager and dietary team to provide excellent service to our residents.
