Job summary

Alliance Health & Human Services is seeking a full-time Dietary Aide to join our Baldwinville, MA kitchen. You will assist with meal prep, service, and clean-up while ensuring residents receive meals per their dietary needs and preferences.

Responsibilities include serving meals, assembling trays, assisting with delivery, and maintaining a clean, sanitary kitchen. The role requires strong teamwork, communication, and adherence to safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous food service, healthcare, or long-term care experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to understand and follow resident diet orders and food safety procedures.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and customer service skills.
• Must be dependable and able to work scheduled shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare dining areas, meal trays, beverages, and food items for meal service.
• Serve meals to residents according to established menus, diet orders, portion sizes, and dietary restrictions.
• Accurately assemble resident trays and ensure proper identification before service.
• Assist with meal delivery and collection of trays.
• Prepare simple food items, snacks, beverages, and supplements as directed.
• Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, trays, and kitchen equipment.
• Clean and sanitize work areas, dining areas, equipment, and food preparation surfaces.
• Properly store food and supplies in accordance with food safety and sanitation requirements.
• Follow infection control, food handling, and sanitation policies and procedures.
• Maintain appropriate food temperatures and report concerns to the Dietary Manager or Cook.
• Stock supplies and notify management when items are running low.
• Provide friendly and respectful service while supporting residents' preferences, dignity, and independence.
• Follow facility policies, safety procedures, and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Alliance at Baldwinville is a not-for-profit, 94 bed skilled nursing home located in Baldwinville, MA!

We are currently looking for a full time Dietary Aide to join our kitchen. The Dietary Aide assists with the preparation, service, and clean-up of meals while ensuring residents receive meals in accordance with their dietary needs and preferences. This position supports a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen and dining environment and provides courteous service to residents, visitors, and staff.
