Job summary

Alliance Health at Baldwinville is seeking a per diem Dietary Aide to assist in preparing and serving nutritious meals for residents. You will deliver dishes, maintain sanitary cooking and dining areas, and follow safety guidelines while working under supervision.

Ideal candidates have a positive, customer-oriented approach, good communication, and reliable stamina. Training is provided if you lack prior dietary aide experience, with opportunities to grow in the culinary/dietetics field.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent; food service certification is a plus.
• Training provided if no prior dietary aide experience.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines.
• Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.
• Good communication and friendly customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Set up dining areas with cleanliness and order.
• Prepare meals under supervision of a dietary manager or cook.
• Deliver dishes and trays at designated times and rooms.
• Take down dining areas and collect plates, glasses, etc.
• Discard leftovers and take out garbage.
• Clean stations and wash dishes, cooking vessels and silverware.
• Stock ingredients and monitor inventory.
• Assist in tracking expenses and menu planning.
• Help maintain kitchen equipment and appliances.

Alliance Health at Baldwinville is a 94-bed skilled nursing facility with an opportunity for a per diem Dietary Aide to join our team. We are looking for a Dietary Aide to assist in the preparation and serving of high quality and nutritious meals for residents in our facility. You will deliver dishes and ensure good sanitary condition in cooking and dining premises. As a Dietary Aide you must be capable of performing food service duties and following instructions while adhering to all safety and health standards. You must be competent and conscientious with a customer-oriented approach. The goal is to provide excellent food services by following instructions and standards. Responsibilities

• Set up tables or other dining areas with attention to cleanliness and order.
• Prepare meals under the supervision of a dietary manager or cook.

• Take down dining areas and collect plates, glasses etc.

• Clean food stations and wash dishes, cooking vessels and silverware.

Skills

• Proven experience as a dietary aide (will train if no experience!)
• Further experience in customer service will be appreciated.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines
• Skilled in preparing meals according to instructions.
• Apt in operating cookware, bakeware, and cooking appliances
• Friendly with good communication skills
• Good physical condition and stamina
• High school diploma or equivalent; certification in food services is a plus.
