Job summary

Lone Star Paving is seeking a Heavy Paving Equipment/Diesel Mechanic to maintain company-owned tools, equipment, and vehicles, working with Milling, Asphalt, and Maintenance teams across Texas. The ideal candidate has experience with asphalt milling machines and a thorough understanding of asphalt work.

Responsibilities include diagnosing defects, performing routine maintenance, managing parts orders, and ensuring a clean, safe shop.

Qualifications

• Experience with diagnostics, maintenance, and operation of asphalt milling machines.
• Organized with a detail-oriented mindset.
• Ability to work well in teams and maintain safety culture.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate condition of defective tools, equipment and fleet vehicles and collaborate with Equipment Manager.
• Prepare cost estimates for repairs and obtain authorization before repairs.
• Perform routine maintenance per schedule and maintain logs.
• Place approved orders for replacement parts and inform Equipment Manager of deliveries.
• Keep shop area neat, clean, and orderly and ensure tools are stored properly.
• Support company goals and assist in other duties as needed.
