Job summary

Schweiger seeks a Medical Assistant for our SF Presidio Terrace and Kentfield offices to perform high-quality medical, clinical, and clerical tasks in a dermatology setting. You will support physicians during cosmetic and laser procedures and help ensure smooth patient flow in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have healthcare experience, dermatology exposure preferred, and are proficient with EMR systems and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

Dermatology experience preferred.
Healthcare experience required.
Nationally Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems.
Must be computer savvy and familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Open availability to work during weekdays and weekends.

Responsibilities

Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere to enhance service and care.
Assist physician in medical, cosmetic and laser procedures.
Record prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, photos, prescriptions and authorizations.
Understand provider to patient flow and anticipate next steps.
Prep rooms before and after patients and check equipment at shift start.
Provide pre-care and post-care instructions as needed.
Scan retail and cosmetic products and alert Head MA/GM of low supplies.
Attend trainings and continued education opportunities.
