Job summary

The University of Minnesota School of Dentistry is hiring a full-time Dental Assistant to support a multi-specialty clinic. The role involves chairside assistance, radiographs, charting in the Electronic Health Record, and maintaining sterile, ready-to-use treatment rooms.

This 30-40 hour per week, in-person position offers DANB trainee option, Minnesota licensure pathways, and a supportive team with opportunities for professional growth within the Faculty Dental Clinic.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited dental assistant course by start date.
• DANB Certified Dental Assistant or eligible with trainee option.
• Current CPR Certification.

Responsibilities

• Seat patient and set up for procedures.
• Assist the dentist chairside and take digital radiographs as prescribed.
• Chart in Electronic Health Record and maintain sterile rooms.
• Order and track materials; participate in emergency protocols and clinic maintenance.
• Assist receptionist and dental hygienists when available.
