Job summary

Adjunct Assistant Faculty in the School of Dentistry’s Comprehensive Care Clinic at University of Minnesota oversees, teaches, and directs pre-doctoral students through comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning and management of dental patients.

They support Group Leaders in evaluating clinical and professional development and are proficient to teach general practice-level procedures in restorative dentistry, prosthodontics, and periodontics, including dental emergencies.

Qualifications

• DDS, DMD or equivalent degree.
• License to practice dentistry in Minnesota.
• In good standing with the Minnesota Board of Dentistry.
• Five or more years' experience in the practice of general dentistry.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, teach and direct pre-doctoral students in comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, treatment and management of dental patients.
• Support Group Leaders in evaluating the clinical and professional development of students.
• Teach, demonstrate, and assess general practice-level procedures in restorative dentistry, prosthodontics, and periodontics, and manage dental emergencies.
