Job summary

UCFS Healthcare is seeking a Dental Assistant to support the dentist in direct patient care and ensure smooth daily clinic operations. The role involves four-handed dentistry, radiographs, sterilization, and scheduling under the Dental Director’s guidance.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma and completion of a dental assisting program; one year of clinical experience is preferred. DANB radiology and infection control certifications are highly preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required or equivalent.
• Completion of a Dental Assisting Program.
• 1 year of clinical dental experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists with all dental procedures using four-handed dentistry.
• Expose digital radiographs and scans for digital impressions.
• Perform sterilization and disinfection per OSHA standards.
• Track lab work and maintain instrument/stock levels.
• Return patient calls, process prescriptions, and schedule appointments with the Dental Director’s approval.
• Participate in staff meetings and continuing education.
