Job summary

Marsden Services is hiring a Full Time Day Shift Specialty Services/Floor Care Tech in St Paul, MN. You’ll perform hard surface floor care, carpet care, and project work under the direction of the crew leader in the Specialty Services Division.

Shifts are Monday–Friday 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with an hourly rate of $22.00. Duties include operating floor machines and cleaning equipment, following safety rules, and completing daily paperwork as required.

Qualifications

• Team-oriented mentality and reliable work ethic.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass MVR check.
• Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal directions.
• Willingness to perform duties across hard surface and carpet care, and related tasks.

Responsibilities

• Hard surface floor care including stripping, scrubbing, and refinishing with appropriate machines.
• Carpet care including extraction and bonnet cleaning using specialized equipment.
• Support specialty crew with lifting, safety compliance, and equipment maintenance.
• Complete daily paperwork and communicate with crew leads.

Full Time Day Shift Specialty Services/Floor Care Tech

Shift: Monday – Friday 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Hourly Rate: $22.00

Location: 1717 University Avenue, St Paul, MN

Job Duties:

Basic Function: Responsible for results relating to & performance of hard surface floor care, carpet care, project work and any other related duties under the direction from the crew leader or manager of the Specialty Services Division.

++Hard Surface floor care responsibilities:++

• Strip and refinish hard surface floors using low speed swing machine, wet vacuum and other floor related equipment and supplies.
• Scrub and refinish hard surface floors using low speed swing machine, wet vacuum and other floor related equipment and supplies.
• Scrub concrete floors using low speed swing machine, autos crubber, rider sweeper scrubber and other floor related equipment and supplies.
• Scrub ceramic, marble, terrazzo, and/or other specialized flooring using low speed swing machine, wet vacuum and other floor related equipment and supplies.

++Carpet Care responsibilities:++

• Carpet extraction using self-contained carpet extractors, mini spotters and other carpet care related equipment and supplies…
• Dry foam carpeting using a Taski Ergo disk dry foam machine.
• Bonnet clean using low speed swing machine, bonnets and other related equipment and supplies.
• CFR carpet and upholstered furniture using CRF wet extraction equipment and CFR supplies.

++Specialty Crew responsibilities:++

• Heavy lifting is required while completing work in the Specialty Services Department. There will be other employees present to assist with any of the lifting as to allow for the furniture and other items to be removed and or replaced safely.
• Must be able to follow and understand all manufacture labels and directions on any and all chemicals/products used by the Specialty Services Department.
• Construction Clean/Final Clean newly constructed/remodeled structures as to allow tenant occupancy.
• Pressure washing structures, parking ramps, parking lots, etc.
• Must complete all paperwork related to job orders and work orders assigned each day.
• Bring any and all safety related issues up to your lead person and or manager immediately.
• Must maintain and clean any equipment utilized during the completion of any work completed while working in the Specialty Services Department.
• Be able to do high work utilizing, scissors lifts, boom lifts, etc. This experience is a plus.

++Successful candidates will possess the following minimum qualifications:++

• Team-oriented mentality
• Valid driver's license required with the ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Report. As company vehicle will be used for transportation between jobs.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment Physical and Drug Screen.
• Must be able to take/follow written and verbal direction from departmental crew leads and managers.
• Perform any and all other duties assigned related to the Specialty Services Division.
