Qualifications

• Experience cooking meals in large quantities.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety standards.
• Able to understand English and follow orders.
• Maintain kitchen supplies and cleanliness.
• Willing to learn new preparation methods.
• Meet facility health requirements including physicals.
• Lift 5–35 pounds and move during shift.
• Nursing home experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals per menus and diet orders.
• Ensure meals are appealing, properly portioned, served on time.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures.
• Coordinate with dietitian and nursing staff for changes.
• Assist with meal service and special event meals.
• Maintain kitchen, equipment, and storage area cleanliness.
• Complete reports and communicate concerns to Food Services Director.
• Adhere to HIPAA and facility policies.
