Job summary

South Shore Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center in Rockland, MA, is hiring a full-time Activities Assistant to join our recreation team. The role focuses on planning and directing daily resident activities, including arts, crafts, and performances, with an every-other-weekend rotation.

Must have a high school diploma; one year of related experience preferred, but we can train the right candidate. Competitive pay and benefits provided.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year experience in an Activities Department preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and run events and activities programming.
• Build relationships with residents and tailor programming to interests.
• Organize group and individual programming.
• Generate ideas to engage residents.
• Encourage participation to stimulate physical, mental, social, and spiritual well-being.
• Assist with resident care goals within the therapeutic team.
• Document and report significant findings.
• Report all reportable events immediately.
