Job summary

Cape Heritage Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Sandwich is seeking a friendly Activities Assistant to join our recreation team. This 40-hour per week position includes an every-other-weekend rotation, with weekly pay at $18 an hour.

You will help plan, organize, and direct daily events for residents, including arts and crafts, performances, and other activities, while building relationships and tailoring programs to residents' interests.

Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or its equivalent.
• We can train the right candidate!

Responsibilities

• Help coordinate and run events and activities programming.
• Build relationships with residents and tailor programming to their interests.
• Organize group and individual programming.
• Generate ideas to excite residents to participate in programming.
• Encourage residents to participate in activities that support physical, mental, social, and spiritual well-being.
• Assist with resident care goals within the therapeutic team framework.
• Document and report unusual or significant findings.
• Report all reportable events immediately.
