Job summary

Tzadik Management is seeking a Full-Time Courtesy Officer / Security to help keep residents and properties safe, secure, and welcoming. You’ll patrol the property, address unauthorized visitors, and respond to emergencies, working closely with property management and local authorities.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, a South Dakota security license (or willingness to obtain one within the first week with company guidance), and prior security or related experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (security training preferred).
• Security license for South Dakota or willingness to obtain within the first week—company will guide you through the process.
• Prior experience in security, property management, or law enforcement preferred.
• Strong observation, communication, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Walking regular patrols around the property.
• Addressing loitering, unauthorized visitors, or suspicious activity.
• Responding to resident questions, concerns, or emergencies.
• Working closely with property management and local authorities as needed.
• Documenting any incidents or concerns.
• Providing a helpful and visible presence to deter unwanted activity.
• Other tasks as assigned by Director of Operation.

Position: Full-Time Courtesy Officer / Security

Pay: $20-$25 per hour
Schedule:

• Full-time, 40 hours per week.
• Schedule to be determined.
• Overnight and weekend shifts will be required

What You’ll Do:

As a Courtesy Officer, you’ll help keep our residents and properties safe, secure, and welcoming. Key responsibilities include:

• Walking regular patrols around the property
• Addressing loitering, unauthorized visitors, or suspicious activity
• Responding to resident questions, concerns, or emergencies
• Working closely with property management and local authorities as needed
• Documenting any incidents or concerns
• Providing a helpful and visible presence to deter unwanted activity
• Other tasks as assigned by Director of Operation.

What We’re Looking For:

• High school diploma or GED (some security training preferred)
• Security license for South Dakota (or willingness to get one within your first week—company will help guide you through the process)
• Prior experience in security, property management, or law enforcement preferred
• Strong observation, communication, and decision-making skills
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and professionally handle all situations
• Able to walk, patrol, and lift up to 50 lbs. if needed
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Flexible with schedule – available for nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
