Job summary

Tzadik Management is seeking a Full-Time Courtesy Officer to help keep residents and properties safe in Rapid City, SD. The role involves patrols, incident response, and coordination with management and local authorities.

Schedule includes 40 hours per week with overnight and weekend shifts. Requires a SD security license (or willingness to obtain within the first week). Prior security or related experience is preferred. Competitive hourly pay offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; security training encouraged.
• Security license for South Dakota or willingness to obtain within first week with company guidance.
• Experience in security, property management, or law enforcement is preferred.
• Strong observation, communication, and decision‑making skills.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and handle all situations professionally.
• Able to walk, patrol, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Flexible with schedule – nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Walk regular patrols around the property.
• Address loitering, unauthorized visitors, or suspicious activity.
• Respond to resident questions, concerns, or emergencies.
• Work closely with property management and local authorities as needed.
• Document incidents or concerns.
• Provide a visible presence to deter unwanted activity.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by Director of Operation.

Position: Full-Time Courtesy Officer / Security

Pay: $20-$25 per hour

Schedule:

• Full-time, 40 hours per week.
• Schedule to be determined.
• Overnight and weekend shifts will be required

What You’ll Do:

As a Courtesy Officer, you’ll help keep our residents and properties safe, secure, and welcoming. Key responsibilities include:

• Walking regular patrols around the property
• Addressing loitering, unauthorized visitors, or suspicious activity
• Responding to resident questions, concerns, or emergencies
• Working closely with property management and local authorities as needed
• Documenting any incidents or concerns
• Providing a helpful and visible presence to deter unwanted activity
• Other tasks as assigned by Director of Operation.

What We’re Looking For:

• High school diploma or GED (some security training preferred)
