Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA seeks married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, supervising a group of 8-13 students and fostering academic, emotional, and social growth in a family-like setting.

Initial duties include supervision, routines, medication administration, and planning activities. After nine days on, three off, couples may transition to a Placed Houseparent role within a shared home.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
• Certified to drive student home vans soon after hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and oversee student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and engage in development and recreation.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
