Zusammenfassung

Kern River Transitional Care is seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team full-time. This role works under the direction of a licensed OT to provide high-quality, resident-centered therapy in a skilled nursing setting.

Essential duties include OT treatments, adherence to care plans, timely documentation, and collaboration with physicians, nursing staff, residents, and families. Competitive pay and benefits offered.

Qualifikationen

• Associate degree in an Accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current California OT Assistant license in good standing and active.
• State continuing-education requirements must be satisfied.
• Current CPR certification if required by licensure or facility policy.
• Experience in skilled nursing or rehab settings preferred.

Aufgaben

• Provide occupational therapy treatments as directed by the supervising OT.
• Follow individualized plans of care to improve residents' ADLs.
• Complete timely, accurate documentation per facility/regulatory/third-party payer requirements.
• Communicate progress with supervising OT and adjust care as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, rehab professionals, residents, and families.
• Participate in care conferences and rehab meetings.
• Assist with Restorative Nursing Assistant training.
• Educate residents and families on treatment goals, home exercise, safety, and fall-prevention.
• Assist with equipment procurement and staff training.
• Maintain infection-control and safety protocols; ensure equipment maintenance.
• Protect resident and company confidentiality; maintain professional relationships.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
