McKnight Place Extended Care is seeking a full-time Cook to lead our Culinary Team in preparing nutritious meals for residents. This role emphasizes quality, teamwork, and a positive work environment.

You will follow recipes and dietary guidelines, maintain safety and cleanliness, and support meal service. ServSafe certification is required or willingness to obtain; prior professional kitchen experience preferred. Daily pay options and full-time benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• ServSafe certification is required (or willingness to obtain)
• Previous experience as a cook in a professional kitchen or food service setting
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Reliable transportation is required

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to recipes, menus, and dietary guidelines
• Ensure meals are prepared safely, consistently, and to high quality standards
• Monitor food quality, taste, and presentation throughout service
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and work station
• Properly store and label ingredients and food items to maintain freshness and safety
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively
• Assist with inventory, ordering, and stock rotation as needed
• Guide and support prep cooks and kitchen staff during meal service
• Demonstrate teamwork, punctuality, and a positive attitude
