Job summary

American Senior Communities is seeking a Cook to join our culinary team and prepare and serve nutritious meals for residents, while upholding high sanitation and safety standards. You will follow menus, lead food preparation, assemble trays, and ensure proper storage of supplies.

Preferred candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, sanitation certification, and prior institutional/healthcare experience. Full-time roles with diverse benefits are available.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED, or 1–3 years related experience or equivalent
• Preferred: Sanitation/Safe Food Handling certification
• Preferred: Prior institutional/healthcare service experience

Responsibilities

• Follows recipes and prepares meals meeting nutritional needs
• Cooks or prepares palatable, nutritious meals in needed quantities
• Leads kitchen staff with food prep, trays, cleaning and storage
• Maintains a clean food service work area during prep and service
• Handles, stores, and disposes of food per procedures and regulations
