Job summary

FLIK Hospitality Group is hiring a full-time COOK in Washington, DC. Location: IDB—1300 New York Ave NW. Schedule: Mon–Fri; hours vary. Prior cooking experience required; Spanish fluency may be needed. Internal referral bonus offered. Pay range: $18–$20 per hour.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking experience required.
• This position may require speaking fluent Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning and temperatures, ensuring appealing and tasty results.
• Maintains proper records from area worked during service periods.
• Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, ensuring high cleanliness standards and proper storage of leftovers.
• Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized; stores supplies per standards.
• Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed; assists in production planning and reporting.
