Full Time opportunity / Hourly wage starting at $20.25 DOE

River Ridge at Avon is looking for a Cook to join our team! As a Benchmark Cook, your main role will be to make a difference in the lives of our residents by providing delicious and healthy meals. You will prepare food in accordance with applicable standards, guidelines, and regulations, following Benchmark policies. The Food Services Director will oversee these duties to ensure quality food service at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all dietary procedures are followed.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including meat slicers, food processors, mixers, ovens, grills, steamers, dishwashers, dumb waiters, and warmer cabinets.
  • Assist in establishing food production lines to ensure timely meal preparation.
  • Represent the community positively when interacting with residents and families.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious, high-quality, flavorful meals for residents.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Culinary Arts training preferred
  • At least 2 years of dietary experience
  • Knowledge of dietary procedures, laws, regulations, and guidelines related to food service
  • Leadership ability and willingness to supervise staff
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Stand for extended periods as this is primarily a standing position
