Active Generations in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking a full-time Cook to prepare, cook, and serve high-quality meals for programs, members, guests, and events. You’ll work across kitchen operations, including ingredient prep, cooking, plating, and cleanup, while upholding safety and quality standards.

The role emphasizes teamwork, accurate portioning, and efficient production. Experience in a busy kitchen, ServSafe certification (preferred), and a commitment to excellent service are valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• ServSafe Certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Minimum one year of kitchen, food preparation, cooking, restaurant, institutional food service, or similar experience preferred.
• Catering experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to recipes.
• Set up and maintain prep, cooking, and service stations.
• Assist with daily meals, catering, and events.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Provide courteous service to Active Generations members and guests.
• Maintain organized workstation and restock as needed.
