Qualifications

• Current North Carolina Certified Peer Support Specialist certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group peer support in members’ homes, community, and office settings.
• Model hope, wellness, resilience, and meaningful change through personal recovery experience.
• Help members identify strengths and set personal recovery goals.
• Use Wellness Management and Recovery (WMR) and Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) principles.
• Teach coping skills, relapse prevention, self-advocacy, and independent living skills.
• Assist members with accessing behavioral health, housing, employment, educational, transportation, and community resources.
• Encourage active participation in recovery and person-centered planning.
