Job summary

Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, a 10th grade education.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business materials.
• Ability to write reports and communicate effectively.
• Ability to present information clearly to managers and staff.
• Must be a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) under state law.
• CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine daily nursing care per resident care plans.
• Identify residents before administering treatments or meals.
• Report changes in resident condition to Nurse Supervisor or Charge Nurse.
• Record entries accurately on flow sheets and charts.
• Maintain resident confidentiality and security of information.
• Follow infection control policies and safety procedures.
• Assist residents with daily functions and activities of daily living.
• Observe residents for pressure areas and skin breakdowns and report findings.
• Assist with transfers, positioning, and mobility as trained.
• Participate in nursing shift reports and inter-department communication.
• Ensure equipment is used only if trained and report any defects.
