Job summary

Sweetwater Care is seeking a compassionate Nursing Assistant to provide routine nursing care under supervision. You will follow established policies to assure high-quality resident care and collaborate with nursing staff to support residents’ needs.

Responsibilities include rounds at shift start and every two hours, verifying resident identity, keeping beds and surfaces clean, and maintaining safe, respectful interactions with residents and families.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a CNA program or hold CNA license.
• Minimum 6 months experience as CNA or clinical experience during certification.
• Must have ability to read, write and speak English.
• Must be able to relate to ill, aged and infirm residents with tact and warmth.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties as directed by Charge Nurse, RN Supervisor, Director of Nurses or Administrator.
• Make resident rounds at the start of each shift and every two hours to provide care.
• Verify resident identity before care or meals.
• Report missing ID bands to admissions.
• Make beds and keep bedside and overbed tables clean.
• Ensure water pitchers are clean and within resident reach.
• Other duties as necessary.

Education

Certified Nursing Assistant license or enrollment
