Job summary

St. Joseph Village, part of Forefront Living, is seeking a full-time CNA to provide compassionate, resident-centered care in a long-term care setting. You will support daily living activities, assist with transfers and feeding, and document care while upholding safety and resident rights.

The role emphasizes teamwork, adaptability to changing needs, and participation in ongoing training within a faith-based nonprofit environment dedicated to elder care excellence.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED.
• Possession of a valid Texas Certified Nurse Assistant certification.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
• Six months’ experience in long-term care preferred.
• Knowledge/ability to learn computer skills.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing conditions.
• Commitment to resident safety and rights.
• Ability to maintain professional appearance and team collaboration.
• Willingness to participate in in-service training.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care and assist with daily living activities.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness of resident care areas.
• Record care provided and report changes to supervising staff.
• Assist with transfers using gait belt as directed.
• Assist with feeding and monitor for choking; document intake.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in in-service training.
