Job summary

Qualifications

• Must possess current CNA license from the State in which the community is located and in good standing with the Board of Nursing
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Able to work with all levels of personnel and follow instructions
• Must be able to walk, stand for extended periods, and lift up to 50 lbs, and push or carry 25 lbs
• CPR/First Aid certification required or willing to obtain within 60 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living
• Report incidents and care concerns to the appropriate staff and document appropriately
• Perform housekeeping duties in resident rooms and common areas as directed
• Respond promptly to resident calls and emergency alerts
• Assist in planning and conducting activity programs for residents
• Assist residents with move-in transitions and provide emotional support to new residents
• Communicate status, appointments, admissions, and transfers verbally and in writing
• Attend required in-services and staff meetings
