Homestead Village, Inc. in the Lancaster area is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Life Plan Community. The role focuses on maintaining a safe, comfortable environment and delivering person-centered care to residents.

This full-time position runs 4:45pm–5:15am, two days per week with every other weekend/holiday. Base pay starts at $17.50 per hour with additional evening and overnight shift differentials, and a comprehensive benefits package is included.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid CNA license and be able to obtain/maintain state certification.
• One year of prior CNA experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a neat, safe, comfortable environment for each resident.
• Provide resident care using Point of Care data and care plan.
• Follow Licensed Nursing Staff instructions and Homestead Village policies.
• Assist with bathing, hygiene, and transfers/ambulation with assistive devices.
• Answer call bells promptly and document vitals daily.
• Assist dining needs and monitor intake/output.
• Observe residents for changes and report to charge nurse.
• Participate in resident activities and assist with laundry.
• Perform housekeeping and other duties as assigned.

Homestead Village, is a thriving non-profit, CARF-CCAC accredited, Life Plan Community located just outside downtown Lancaster. We are seeking a highly skilled, enthusiastic, & passionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our compassionate community as we enhance independence and dignity for all our Residents.

Location - The Apostle Center for Care, 56-bed Skilled Nursing Facility

Base Pay: Determined based upon years licensed and experience. Newly licensed CNA's start at $17.50; Plus applicable shift & weekend differentials

• $1.50 additional from 3:00pm-11:00pm
• $0.75 additional from 11:00pm-7:00am

Position Available/Schedule:

• Full Time; 4:45pm-5:15am; two days per week & every other weekend/holiday

Essential Job Responsibilities and Objectives:

• Maintain an organized, neat, safe, secure, comfortable environment for every resident.
• Utilize Point of Care and care plan to provide resident care.
• Adhere to instructions issued by the Licensed Nursing Staff/Household Coordinator and perform duties in accordance with established Homestead Village routines, methods and techniques, and in compliance with Homestead Villages’ policies, procedures, standards and practices.
• Work alone or as a team giving total care or assist residents with bathing and hygiene.
• Ambulatory transferring, positioning by using assistive devices such as a walker, wheelchair, mechanical lifts, gait belt or assigned therapeutic devices as directed on resident care plan.
• Answer call “bells” promptly regardless of assignment.
• Collect data such as temperatures, pulses, respirations, blood pressures and record onto data sheet daily.
• Record care as provide during the shift such as ADL’s and ambulation.
• Assist residents with dining needs (this includes assisting in country kitchen), maintain intake and output as requested, weigh resident as instructed.
• Observe residents and reports physical and/or behavioral changes immediately to charge nurse.
• Interact tactfully, respectfully and cooperatively with residents, families, visitors and the entire staff throughout the organization.
• Perform all resident care as assigned and according to Homestead Village nursing department’s policies and procedures.
• Participate in activities for residents as directed.
• Wash residents’ personal laundry as needed.
• Perform cleaning and all other duties as assigned
