Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Flower Mound, TX is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support doctors in family medicine. You will update records, assist examinations, and help prepare patients for visits.

Responsibilities include recording vital signs, drawing blood, administering injections, preparing rooms, and maintaining accurate documentation. A CMA certification from NCCT, CMA, CCMA, or equivalent and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Must have CMA certification from a program accredited by a reputable professional healthcare association.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical assistant role.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Education: H.S. Diploma or GED Equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient examinations and treatment under physician guidance.
• Prepare and clean treatment rooms, ensure supplies are stocked.
• Guide patients from waiting room and prepare for examination.
• Interview patients and update medical records; collect detailed information.
• Record vital signs and prepare patients for exams and tests.
• Perform tests such as ECG and collect specimens.
• Administer routine medications and vaccines as directed; monitor reactions.
• Change dressings and assist with sutures as needed.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

CMA Certification (NCMA/AAMA/ARMA/CCMA/NHA/AMT/AAH/NAHP/AMCA)
