Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Cedar Park, TX is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support physicians in Family Medicine & Pediatrics. You will update charts, administer meds, take vital signs, and maintain clean treatment rooms, while guiding patients through visits.

Responsibilities include collecting specimens, performing basic tests, injections, and documenting accurately. Must have CMA certification and BLS; schedule is Mon-Fri, 8a-5p.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Less than 1 year of experience preferred.
• CMA/NCMA/ CMA/ARMA/CCMA/NHA/AMT/NRCMA/CMAC certification from listed bodies required or obtained within designated timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient examinations under physician guidance.
• Prepare and clean treatment rooms; ensure supplies are stocked.
• Escort patients from waiting room and prep for examination.
• Interview patients and update medical records; ensure paperwork is ready.
• Record vital signs (pulse, temp, BP, weight, height).
• Prepare patients for exams, tests, procedures and x-rays.
• Administer routine meds and vaccinations; monitor for adverse reactions.
• Change dressings; remove sutures and staples as directed.
