We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Cloud System Administrator to join our growing team. The Cloud System Administrator will be responsible for the day-to-day management, maintenance, and support of our cloud and on-premises infrastructure. This role requires a strong understanding of server operating systems, networking principles, storage technologies, and cloud platforms. The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities, coupled with strong communication and documentation skills. You will work collaboratively with the engineering department to implement and maintain robust and efficient IT systems.

Experience:
  • 2-5 years of experience in system administration or IT support roles.
  • Proven proficiency with server operating systems (e.g., Windows Server, Linux, VMware).
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts and technologies (e.g., Firewalls, Switches, Routers).
  • Practical experience with storage technologies (e.g., NAS, SAN, backup solutions).
  • Working experience with observability and monitoring tools (e.g., Logic Monitor, RMM).
  • Familiarity with scripting tools for automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
  • Working knowledge of major cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical information clearly.

Your Mission Will Be To:

Infrastructure Management:

  • Install, configure, and maintain servers (both physical and virtual), network devices, and storage systems following established processes and under the guidance of senior team members.

System Optimization:

  • Monitor system performance using observability tools and provide data-driven recommendations for improvements.
  • Implement automation scripts using tools like PowerShell or Python to streamline routine tasks, following the direction and support of the engineering department.

Network Support:

  • Provide support for network infrastructure components, including switches, routers, and firewalls.
  • Assist in the implementation of network improvements as directed by the engineering department.

Storage Administration:

  • Support storage solutions, ensuring data integrity, availability, and optimal performance.
  • Execute regular backups and participate in disaster recovery testing according to established processes and documentation, under the direction of the engineering department.

Patch Management:

  • Execute patching of various devices according to established processes and using designated tools during scheduled patching cycles.

Cloud Support:

  • Manage and maintain virtual machines, storage accounts, and networking configurations within cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of robust Identity and Access Management (IAM) policies and security measures within the public cloud.

Documentation and Compliance:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of IT systems, configurations, and operational procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to organizational policies and relevant industry standards.

Working conditions:

The shift work consists of 3 days on / 4 days off, or 4 days on / 3 days off, with 12-hour shifts. One week, the employee works 36 hours; the following week, 48 hours.
