Overview

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is an employee-owned federal government contractor supporting national priority programs through our strategic solutions in the areas of Information Technology, Test & Evaluation, Program Mission Support, Engineering & Analysis, and Training.

Responsibilities

• Participate in on-call rotation for approximately 2 weeks per year.
• Support full lifecycle management of AWS GovCloud hosted systems, including tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, Ansible, Artifactory, SonarQube, Kubernetes, Twistlock, and Xray.
• Collaborate with development and support teams, providing troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and optimization of cloud infrastructure.
• Assess and recommend improvements for system software and hardware.
• Communicate project status, issues, and updates to management.
• Document and implement system administration solutions to meet business needs.
• Ensure cybersecurity compliance and vulnerability mitigation in coordination with cybersecurity team.
• Provide Tier II support, including DISA ticket management.
• Handle daily maintenance, monitoring, problem resolution, and releases as part of on-call duties.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of experience as a Cloud Systems Administrator.
• Proficiency with platforms like GitHub, Jenkins, Ansible, Artifactory, SonarQube, Kubernetes, Xray, etc.
• Experience with Amazon Web Services; AWS certification highly desirable.
• Secret (SSBI) or Top Secret clearance.
• DoD 8570 IAT II certification (Security+ or equivalent).
• Strong communication skills for technical and management audiences.

Pay Transparency

The salary range is USD $91,600 - $153,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications. Benefits include healthcare, paid leave, retirement plans, insurance, and educational support.
