Qualifications

• Education and Experience: complete student teaching requirements and coursework to obtain an appropriate teaching certificate issued by the Illinois State Board of Education.
• License Requirements: possess at least one valid teaching license issued by the Illinois State Board of Education (PEL or ELS).
• Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills: knowledge of subject matter, knowledge of teaching principles, and knowledge of classroom and behavior management techniques.
• Abilities: modify instruction to meet student needs; collaborate with faculty and administration; work with pupils, parents, staff, and community organizations.
• Skills: strong oral and written communication; interpersonal skills; sound professional judgment.
