Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or higher preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Passing Parapro Assessment as required by law.
• Experience working with children desirable.
• Must obtain Educational Aide Permit issued by Ohio.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively and work independently in a school setting.
• Assist students to reinforce reading, language arts, math, and computer instruction.
• Work with students individually and in groups to reinforce learning.
• Assist in administration and correction of classroom exercises and assessments.
• Prepare instructional materials and reinforce skills according to student needs.
• Maintain records documenting student learning and performance.
• Help with classroom behavioral management to maintain a safe environment.
• Supervise students in non-instructional areas and during field trips.
• Follow safety rules and assist with students with disabilities or special needs.
• Support guidance, pupil services staff or administration as needed.

Education
