Job summary

American Welding & Gas Inc. in Sulphur, LA seeks a Class B CDL Delivery Driver to load, deliver and service customers with gas and liquid cylinders. You will comply with SOPs and DOT/OSHA regulations, move cylinders safely, and keep accurate paperwork.

The role requires Hazmat and Airbrake endorsements or the ability to obtain them, a clean driving record, and the ability to lift heavy cylinders. Benefits and a comprehensive package are offered.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Class B CDL required with Hazmat and Airbrake endorsement or ability to obtain
• Clean driving record; read and write English
• Able to move compressed gas and liquid cylinders; lift 50-75 pounds frequently and maneuver 100+ pound cylinders
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, DOT physical, background check and company road test
• Ability to communicate with customers

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, move and store gas and liquid cylinders and other hard goods
• Make deliveries to customers or other branches and fill delivery tickets completely and accurately
• Read and follow all SOPs
• Comply with DOT and OSHA regulations
• Move cylinders safely, and maintain paperwork accuracy
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform other duties as assigned

American Welding & Gas Inc,has an immediate opening for aClass B CDL Delivery Driver in Sulphur, LA.This position requires a Class B CDL with HazMat & Airbrake endorsements.

Duties:This position has the responsibility of loading, unloading, moving and storage of gas and liquid cylinders and other hard good supplies; making deliveries to customers or other branches and filling out delivery tickets completely and accurately.

• Read, understand and follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)
• Comply with all DOT+OSHA Regulations
• Moves, loads, and unloads empty/full cylinders safely and efficiently
• Ensures appropriate preparation and/or completion and accuracy of paperwork including but not limited to shipping papers and delivery tickets
• Maintains cleanliness of vehicle
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Class B CDL Required with Hazmat and Airbrake endorsement or the ability to obtain both endorsements
• Clean driving recordAble to read and write English
• Able to move compressed gas and liquid cylinders; Lift 50-75 pounds frequently and maneuver 100+ pound cylinders (rolling, using a cart, etc.)
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, DOT physical, Back Ground Assessment and company administered road test
• Ability to communicate with customers.
