Job summary

Redwood Community Services, Inc. is seeking a Certified Peer Support Specialist for its H.O.M.E. outpatient program in Lakeport, CA. The role focuses on recovery-oriented, culturally sensitive services and guiding clients toward self-sufficiency, advocacy, and engagement in community resources.

The position requires 18+, high school diploma, and completion of an 80-hour CalMHSA-certified training within six months. Requires valid CA driver's license and ability to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with recovery from mental illness or substance use in the consumer or family context preferred.
• Must pass 80-hour training within 6 months through CalMHSA-approved training entity.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized guidance and coaching toward recovery goals.
• Assist clients in voicing personal goals and steps to achieve them.
• Connect clients to housing, employment, education, and other resources.
• Facilitate groups and activities to build self-sufficiency, social supports, and skills.
• Promote crisis planning and coping strategies within a trauma-informed framework.
