Job summary

Littleton Regional Healthcare in Littleton, NH, seeks a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant-ENT to join a team handling clinical and clerical duties in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

The role requires a MA certificate/associates degree with prior clinic experience. You may float to multiple practices, perform immunizations, vital signs, and prepare patients for examinations while maintaining records and complying with policies.

Qualifications

• Associates degree and/or at least three years previous clinical experience preferred.
• Professional and courteous demeanor with patients, staff and providers.
• Experience with computer applications required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills required.
• Critical thinking skills and independent judgement a must.
• Medical terminology knowledge and outpatient clinic experience preferred.
• Proficient and flexible to work in multiple practices.
• Must be able to work independently or with little guidance.
• Certification/registration in Medical Assistants.
• Demonstrates in all aspects in clinical competencies.

Responsibilities

• Perform selected clinical and administrative duties; assist with physicals and minor procedures.
• Administer immunizations and injections as instructed by provider.
• Prepare patients for examination and treatment.
• Take patient histories and vital signs, specimen collection and analysis and perform EKGs.
• Change dressings and assist with wound care.
• Prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments.
• Maintain adequate level of supplies and equipment needed for patient care.
• Remove sutures and castings.
• Assist with scheduling of tests and referrals and follows through with referrals and pre-certifications as necessary.
• Call or fax prescriptions under provider’s direction.
• Maintain patient files, records and other information in accordance with hospital standards.
