Job summary

Wentworth-Douglass Hospital’s MGB ENT clinic in Somersworth, NH seeks a full-time Medical Assistant for onsite support. The role focuses on rooming patients, taking histories and vital signs, preparing equipment, and assisting providers in a busy specialty care setting.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma, 1–2 years of medical experience, and familiarity with EHR systems. Onsite hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a 40-hour work week at 361 High Street, Somersworth, NH 03878.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Associate degree in Medical Assisting preferred.
• 1–2 years direct medical assistant or medical field experience.
• Basic Life Support certification preferred.
• National Certified Medical Assistant preferred.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and prepare exam rooms.
• Obtain vital signs and document in medical record.
• Prepare equipment and assist with visits.
• Explain procedures and instructions to patients.
• Collect and prepare blood or specimens for testing (phlebotomy competency).
• Support general office needs and coordinate with departments.
• Maintain inventory and support immunization workflows.
• Assist with onboarding of junior Medical Assistants.
