Longwood Medical Area Child Care Center in Boston, MA is hiring a Full-Time Center Float Teacher to work across infant, toddler, and preschool classrooms. You’ll help create a nurturing, safe learning space and support children’s development with a caring team.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED (Bachelor’s preferred), child-care experience, and the ability to lift 35 lbs. You’ll join a warm team committed to growth and positive relationships.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
• Experience working with children in child care, daycare, or preschool settings.
• Ability to lift at least 35 lbs and supervise children at all times.
• Willingness to work indoors and outdoors and follow safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Float between infant and toddler classrooms to support teams.
• Assist the Infant/Toddler Supervisors as needed.
• Open/close shifts on an 8-hour schedule (6:30 AM–6:00 PM).
• Create a warm, safe environment supporting development.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.

Join Our Team as a Center Float Teacher!

Do you love working with all age groups and bringing joy to young learners? We’re looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Full-Time Center Float Teacher to join our warm and supportive team!
In this role, you’ll have the unique opportunity to support infants, toddlers, and preschoolers , helping to create a positive, nurturing learning environment every step of the way.

What You’ll Do:

• Gain valuable hands‑on experience floating between infant and toddler classrooms
• Assist the Infant/Toddler Supervisors as needed
• Work an 8-hour schedule between 6:30 AM – 6:00 PM (must be available to open and close)
• Help create a warm, welcoming, and safe environment that supports children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
• Build positive, meaningful relationships with children, parents, and fellow educators

What You’ll Need:

• At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED ( Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required )
• Experience working with children in child care, daycare, or preschool settings
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors , lift at least 35 lbs, participate in physical activities, and maintain full supervision of children at all times
