Job summary

Longwood Medical Area Child Care Center is hiring a Full-Time Toddler Teacher to guide infants and toddlers in a nurturing program. You’ll plan engaging activities, support social and emotional growth, and partner with families to monitor progress in a warm, safe space.

Requirements include EEC certification for toddlers, 18+ with a HS diploma or GED (bachelor’s preferred), and prior child care experience. Ability to lift 35 lbs and work outdoors when needed is essential.

Qualifications

• EEC certification in toddlers is required.
• At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED; Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required.
• Experience in child care, daycare, or preschool settings is recommended.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors, lift at least 35 lbs, and supervise children at all times.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities for toddlers 12–36 months.
• Follow a rotating schedule including early morning and late shift.
• Create a warm, safe environment that supports development across domains.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.

Join Our Team as a Full‑Time Toddler Teacher!

Do you have a passion for teaching young children and creating a positive, nurturing learning environment? We’re looking for a dedicated Full‑Time Toddler Teacher to join our warm and supportive team! In this role, you’ll play a vital part in shaping infants' and toddlers' minds, fostering their growth, and building meaningful connections with both children and families.

What You’ll Do:

• Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities and curriculum for toddlers ages 12 months through 2 years old or 18 months through 2.9 years old


• Work a rotating schedule: 6:30 or 7 am-2:30 or 3 pm & 10 am-6 pm plus one rotating shift per week on Fridays


• Create a warm, welcoming, and safe environment that supports children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development


• Build positive, supportive relationships with children, parents, and fellow educators

What You’ll Need:

• EEC certification in toddlers (required)


• At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED (Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required)


• Experience working with children in a child care, daycare, or preschool setting


• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors, lift at least 35 lbs, actively participate in physical activities, and maintain full supervision of children at all times
