Job summary

Kids Crossing Daycare in Sioux Falls is seeking a dependable Full-Time Float Teacher to join our caring team. You will work across the center with children ages 4 weeks to 5 years.

This role involves supporting routines, curriculum, supervision, meals, and daily care while communicating with parents and staff.

We offer weekday hours, no nights or weekends, PTO, holiday pay, health insurance, and a 50% childcare discount.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Previous childcare experience preferred.
• Reliable transportation.
• Able to pass required child abuse/neglect background checks.
• Must meet state requirements for employment in a licensed childcare program.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to complete required certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, nurturing, and high-quality care to children
• Provide support in classrooms throughout the center as needed
• Assist teachers with implementing classroom curriculum and activities
• Supervise and actively participate in children's daily activities
• Assist with meals, diaper changes, toileting, naps, and other daily care needs
• Greet children and families in a warm and welcoming manner
• Comfort children and assist with basic first aid when needed
• Help maintain clean, organized, and safe classrooms
• Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and other staff
• Help provide classroom coverage for breaks, staffing needs, and transitions throughout the day

Full-Time Float Teacher

Kids Crossing Daycare is looking for a dependable, caring, and flexible Full-Time Float Teacher to join our team!

Our Float Teachers work throughout the center, providing support wherever it is needed and caring for children ages 4 weeks to 5 years. This is a great position for someone who enjoys variety, loves working with children of all ages, and is willing to jump in and be part of a team!

Float Teachers assist with classroom routines, curriculum and activities, supervision, daily care and cleaning tasks, and communication with parents and staff. And, of course, the position comes with plenty of little smiles, cuddles, and unconditional hugs!

Hours & Job Information

• Monday–Friday
• 9:00 AM–6:00 PM with a 1-hour break OR 10:00 AM–6:00 PM
• Full-time position
• Work with all classrooms, ages 4 weeks–5 years
