Job summary

Family of Kidz in Islandia, NY is seeking a Center Based Behavior Technician (RBT) to support ABA therapy under supervision. You will implement teaching procedures, collect behavior and skill data, and help children progress in a center-based setting.

You must obtain and maintain your RBT credential within 90 days, with hours Monday through Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm. We offer generous PTO, 12 holidays, medical/dental/vision insurance, a 401(k), flexible Spending and HSA, life and disability

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months ABA experience with children or adolescents in a supervised setting.
• Enrollment or completion of an undergraduate or graduate degree in psychology, education, applied behavior analysis, or related field is a plus.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and work safely with individuals exhibiting challenging behaviors.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with Supervisors to implement ABA teaching procedures.
• Collect behavior and skill acquisition data during sessions.
• Acquire and maintain RBT credential within the first 90 days of employment.
• Use electronic platform for data collection and graphing.
• Implement Behavior Support Plans and Behavior Intervention Plans as directed.
• Effectively manage learners including physical crisis intervention protocols and ensure a safe environment.
• Maintain confidentiality of information in line with state and federal regulations.
• Understand and demonstrate the company core values.
