Family of Kidz is hiring a Center-Based ABA Therapist/RBT in Islandia, NY. The role involves implementing ABA methods, collecting data, and maintaining a safe, confidential environment for children with special needs.

The position offers full-time benefits, including PTO, holidays, medical/dental/vision, a 401(k), and professional development support. Training for RBT credential is provided within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months ABA working with children or adolescents in a supervised setting.
• Must be able to work safely with individuals who engage in challenging behaviors.
• Enrollment or completion of an undergraduate or graduate degree in psychology, education, ABA, or related field a plus.
• Must be able to frequently lift 50 pounds and handle variable postures for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with Supervisors to implement ABA teaching procedures.
• Collect behavior and skill data during sessions.
• Acquire and maintain RBT credential within the first 90 days.
• Use electronic platform for data collection and graphing.
• Implement Behavior Support Plans and ensure a safe environment.
• Maintain confidentiality of information about children and families.
