Job description

Essential Functions:

1. Customer Service:
   • Provide exceptional customer service by following Lowe's policies and procedures.
   • Assist customers in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise.
   • Respond promptly and knowledgeably to customer and employee inquiries, guiding them through projects when needed.
   • Express sincere appreciation to customers.
   • Communicate information regarding stock, special orders, features, benefits, applications, and warranties related to Lowe's programs.
   • Coordinate with customers and truck drivers regarding deliveries.
2. In-stock:
   • Plan delivery activities, prepare loading tickets, and ensure timely delivery of orders.
   • Pull merchandise, prepare delivery loads, and load trucks according to schedule and payload capacity.
   • Inspect products before loading and assist customers with loading as needed.
   • Verify invoice items against loaded quantities, descriptions, and model numbers.
3. Clean and Safe Stores:
   • Ensure loads are secure, safe, and compliant with DOT regulations.
   • Update delivery and route status in the system for tracking.
   • Unload, install, and test appliances upon delivery.
   • Maintain vehicle safety through inspections, cleanliness, and repairs.
   • Complete DOT reports to ensure certification and compliance.
   • Identify and report security risks such as shoplifting or theft.
   • Maintain store cleanliness and organization, ensuring a safe work environment.
   • Follow safety procedures and operate store equipment as required.
   • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Class A or B CDL License with appropriate endorsements and medical certification.
• Ability to pass MVR screening and obtain necessary licensure.
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Compliance with DOT and CDL regulations.

Preferences:

• Experience driving semi-trucks/trailers or certification from a driving school.
• Experience in in-home delivery or retail customer service.
• Experience operating a forklift or Moffett for loading/unloading.
