Job description

Essential Functions:

1. Customer Service

• Provide excellent customer service by following Lowe's policies, procedures, and programs.
• Assist customers in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise based on their needs.
• Respond promptly and knowledgeably to customer and employee questions, guiding them through projects when needed.
• Show genuine appreciation to customers.
• Communicate information about stock, special orders, features, benefits, applications, and warranties related to Lowe's programs.
• Coordinate with customers and truck drivers regarding deliveries.

In-stock

• Plan delivery activities, prepare loading tickets, and deliver merchandise on schedule.
• Pull merchandise, build and band loads, and load trucks within payload limits.
• Inspect products before loading or assisting with loading.
• Verify invoice items against loaded quantities.

Clean and Safe Stores

• Ensure loads are safe, secure, and compliant with DOT regulations.
• Update delivery and route status in the system for tracking.
• Unload, install, and test appliances upon delivery.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections, maintain cleanliness, and report repairs.
• Complete DOT reporting to maintain certification and compliance.
• Identify signs of theft or security risks and report them.
• Maintain store cleanliness and organization according to standards.
• Ensure a safe work environment and adhere to safety protocols.
• Operate store equipment as required for specific roles.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Class A or B CDL License with endorsements as specified, depending on location.
• Valid medical certificate or ability to obtain one.
• Ability to pass MVR screening.
• Ability to obtain necessary sales-related licenses or registrations.
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Compliance with DOT and CDL regulations.

Preferences:

• 1 year of semi-truck/trailer driving experience or certification.
• 6 months of in-home delivery or retail customer service experience.
• 3 months of forklift or Moffett operation experience.
