Job summary

Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Illinois is seeking a Radiology Tech for the Cardiac Cath Lab to join the full-time, days shift team. You will provide procedural support during diagnostic and interventional cath procedures and ensure patient-centered care.

The role offers 4 x 10 hour shifts, generous PTO, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities to teach and mentor new staff while advancing in interventional radiology within a leading Level I trauma center.

Qualifications

• Graduation from accredited school of Radiology.
• Current RT License in State of Illinois.
• Current ARRT Registry.
• Basic Cardiac Life support (BCLS) required.
• Typically requires 1+ years of Interventional (IR) or procedural experience (Cath Lab, OR, IR).
• New Grads welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Procedural Support: Provides competent, proficient, technical support during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, implementing procedural standards and protocols.
• Patient Centered Care: Provides patient care specific to procedural requirements and patient needs (under the supervision of physicians and Cath Lab nursing personnel) within established departmental policies for scope of practice.
• Patient/Family Member Education: Provides support and education to patients, families, and other healthcare team members.
• Safety: Maintains a safe, organized and efficient work environment.
• Customer Service: Demonstrates the ability to interact and cooperate with all customers.
• Professional Growth and Accountability: Maintains professional growth, self-development objectives, and skill enhancement. Demonstrates a commitment to the organization by supporting and adapting to changes consistent with operating goals.
