Job summary

Phoenix Home Care & Hospice in Springfield, MO is seeking compassionate caregivers to support our geriatric clients at home. You’ll control your schedule and travel time while building one-on-one connections and delivering compassionate care.

Starting pay is $16 per hour with a $1000 sign-on bonus, plus weekly direct deposits, flexible scheduling, and paid training. We value autonomy, reliability, and meaningful impact in our clients’ daily lives.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Have a valid driver’s license.
• Reliable vehicle with current auto insurance.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Pass a background check.
• Pass a drug test.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming).
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Support clients with higher acuity needs, including transfers.
• Assist with feeding and meal preparation.
• Perform light housekeeping and medication reminders.
• Run errands as needed.

A few daily tasks may include:

• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (Bathing, Dressing, Grooming)
• Provide Companionship and Emotional Support
• Support Clients with Higher Acuity Needs, Including:
  • Transfers (use of gait belts, Hoyer lifts, etc.)
  • Feeding Assistance & Meal Preparation
  • Monitoring and Reporting Changes in Condition
• Light Housekeeping
• Medication Reminders
• Running errands
