Job summary

Diversicare is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventative maintenance, building and equipment repairs, and safety checks at our skilled nursing and long-term care centers across the Southeast. You will coordinate services with department managers to ensure uninterrupted operations and uphold resident confidentiality.

Ideal candidates have HVAC repair experience, basic electrical/plumbing skills, knowledge of building codes and safety, and a High School diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Must have demonstrated HVAC repair experience.
• Intermediate skillset in electric and plumbing repair highly desired.
• Knowledge of water heaters, generators, commercial kitchen equipment and refrigeration would be a plus but not required.
• Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations and blueprint interpretation.
• High School/GED or ability to read, write and follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative maintenance and maintains maintenance records as instructed.
• Performs building and equipment repairs as per work orders.
• Performs fire safety equipment tests under guidance.
• Inspects building systems and logs findings.
• Coordinates maintenance services with department managers to ensure performance without interruption.
• Performs basic carpentry, drywall, flooring and painting as required.
• Maintains building in good repair and compliant with laws.
• Follows safety rules and Policies & Procedures.
• Orders equipment and supplies and maintains records of repairs and purchases.
• May be required to drive for company business.
• Maintain resident confidentiality and treat residents with kindness and respect.
