Job summary

Compass Group USA is hiring immediately for full-time Food Service Worker positions at Marist University, 3399 North Road, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601. Online applications accepted. Schedule is full-time with hours varying. Prior food service experience is preferred but not required.

Fixed pay rate: $18.25 per hour. Internal Employee Referral Bonus available. Gourmet Dining & Chartwells Higher Education, part of Compass Group, serves fresh, local meals across 270 campuses.

Qualifications

• Prior food service experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, presents and serves food as needed.
• Performs prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Weighs and measures designated ingredients.
• Carries pans, kettles and trays of food to and from work stations, stove and refrigerator.
• Stores food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety and rotation procedures.
• Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils.
• Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment.
• Uses approved recipes to ensure proper quality and serving temperatures.
• Seeks to provide friendly, efficient service to customers and resolves concerns with supervision guidance.
• Adheres to sanitation, safety and inventory procedures.
