Job summary

University of Texas is seeking a Building Attendant II (Dining) to maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, dining area, and dish room in a large-scale food service operation on UT Main Campus.

The role requires experience with commercial cleaning equipment, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to train student staff. Shift differential applies; 40-hour workweek with variable shifts and opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• Six months of commercial cleaning experience.
• Six months of experience with commercial cleaning equipment such as dish machines, carpet care, or floor care equipment.
• Ability to complete Food Safety Training required by University Housing and Dining.
• Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Ensure completion of daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks (dining area, kitchen, bathrooms, floors, surfaces).
• Operate commercial cleaning equipment including dish machines.
• Process dishware, sort silverware, and restock dishware for front of house.
• Assist with restocking convenience store merchandise as needed.
• Maintain sanitation and safety techniques while maintaining productivity.
