Job summary

Qualifications

• Required: High School diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
• Sufficient experience, including 2 years related experience.
• Valid Maine commercial Driver's License.
• Customer service principles.
• Specialized equipment and system maintenance and repair.
• Maintenance of related equipment.
• Recordkeeping principles.
• Applicable compliance with rules and regulations.
• Inspecting, installing, and repairing systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Removal of trash, recycling, food waste, and other debris from campus.
• Operate equipment safely and in compliance with licensing requirements.
• Loads, delivers, unloads materials, supplies and other items on and off campus.
• Performs routine maintenance checks, cleaning, and minor maintenance on equipment.
• Plows snow and sands; spreads loam or gravel for parking lots, sidewalks, roads and lawns.
• Transporting materials between locations.
• Collecting materials in assigned vehicles, such as recyclables and waste.
• Moving materials and equipment for larger projects.
• Performing manual labor as assigned.
• Operating a variety of equipment including large, heavy equipment.
